Residual Value
The expected value of a leased asset at the end of the lease.
Residual value is what a leased item — usually a car — is projected to be worth when the lease ends. It's set at signing and drives the lease payment.
A higher residual means less value is 'used up' during the lease, so the depreciation portion of your payment is lower.
