Net Income (Take-Home Pay)

The amount left after taxes and deductions — what you actually receive.

Net income, or take-home pay, is what remains after income tax, FICA, and any pre-tax deductions are subtracted from gross pay. It's the number to budget from.

For a business, net income is revenue minus all expenses and taxes.
